The upper leaves of this 2-3’ tall plant are bluish green and extremely smooth, clasping the stem. The plant develops a shrub-like form with profuse and long-lasting flowers. The blue to purple flowers form in late summer and bloom throughout the fall. Smooth Blue Aster does well in sunny spots and partial shade.
