This tall native grass is a good companion to forbs like Whorled Rosinweed and Tall Coreopsis. It is typically 3-6 feet tall; however it can reach up to 9 feet. The bluish stems and foliage turn a reddish bronze in the Fall. It prefers full sun and moist soil – although it tolerates dry soil.
